Happy Birthday Owen

Where do I even start with my Owen.

When I was a little kid I always said I only wanted to have girls because my brother bugged me soooo much. And fell of his bike constantly and brought home bugs and other icky stuff. When we had Owen he changed my mind about boys all together. I don't have a good birth story about Owen because he was the same as Morgan they started me on a day I picked and everything went smoothly and perfectly.

My favorite thing to talk about when Owen was a baby is that he was the snuggliest baby I have had. The girls were bored with me at 6 months old. Owen loved it when I would sing to him and rock him to sleep all the way until he was 3.

He loves to lay with me and give me kisses especially when dad is watching so that dad will tell him that he has to stop. It makes him giggle. He has always been such a good kid. Always wanting to please. He is a little whiny (ok a lot whiny) sometimes, but my sweet Owen has my heart.

He loves to wrestle with his dad and laugh and laugh and laugh. I love to listen to him tell me how his day at school went. I love it when he tells me what his Lego guys are up to today. I can't believe that he is 5 it is crazy!!!

I am so happy that I get to have him in our family. He brings a smile to my face every time he comes in to my room in the morning.

I can't wait to see what he will do in Kindergarten, because he has done so well in preschool.

I can't wait to see what his life brings because this world is lucky to have him! I love this little boy so much it is hard to put it into words.

You are my favorite 5 year old EVER Owen.

I LOVE YOU!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OWEN!!!!

Happy Birthday Sam

I don't know how to put it into words but anyone who has had kids can understand how amazing it is that these little babies that you carry around for 9 months in your tummy and then work so hard to get here to the world and worry about daily, and love more then words can express daily, grow so fast and become their own little people with their own ideas and opinions. My sweet little last baby Sam is 2 now. It was just yesterday that I was waking up on my birthday looking forward to having one last date night with my husband before they induced me the next week. Troy worked from home that day (I don't remember why) but I started having contractions early in the day but just knew that it wasn't real. I made lunch for Troy and Owen all the time having contractions. I finally laid down cause they just hurt too much. I got a happy birthday phone call from my sister Kaci. When I told her I was having contractions she asked me how close they were. I told her I had no idea it wasn't real so why would I keep track. (I had never actually started labor on my own to this point) She timed them for me and then convinced me to call the Dr. When I did they told me to head to the hospital. So we packed up Owen and the dog. Picked up the girls at school. Dropped everybody off at my moms. And then drove downtown to the hospital. My father was convinced that I was going to have the baby in the car. I told him they were just going to send me home so stop worrying about it. When we got there and got checked in and they checked my I was already at a 6. I go from a 6 to a 10 in 15 min. every time. Needless to say things started to move really fast at the hospital and 45 min after driving into the parking lot, Samuel was here.

He has been a blessing to our family. He has the sweetest personality. Always happy. Loves to help me and get things for me. He loves to lay with me in the morning and loves to give me kisses. He really has been the perfect baby and I just love him more then my heart can hold.
I am glad that I get to share a birthday with him but I apologize for all the times that I have said and will say that I think it sucks.

It must have been really hard for our father in heaven to part with him but I am so glad that I get to be his mom and that I get to have him in my family for eternity.

I love you Sam!!!

Happy Birthday!!!!!!

The First Birthday Post

I call this the first because out of the 6 members of our family 3 of us have our birthdays with in 3 days of each other here at the end of the shortest month of the year. So, there will be a lot of birthday posts in the next little while.

Tonight we had the Frost/Baxter family birthday party for Owen and Sam. The first birthday party so the boys were very excited about. I will say more later but it still blows me away how fast my kids grow up and it is right before my eyes. Any way, it wasn't much but here are some pictures of the festivities.

Owen and his new Sunday/Easter clothes. (I am such a bad mom giving him his Easter clothes for his birthday but I can still get away with it so I do it)

Sam with his new "Little Einsteins" laptop. Couldn't get him to stop playing with it to open the rest of his presents. I will remember that next time.

Goodbye Zoe

Today is a sad day for my family, in particular, my dad. Our dog Zoe died today. She lived almost 14 years so she lived a good long life. She was my dads best friend. He used to say that she was the only thing that loved him no matter what and was always happy to see him. (Made us feel super but oh well) My parent's picked her up in a box in the Wal-mart parking lot in Cedar City as they were coming home from dropping my sister off at SUU. My mom was always against having a dog but Zoe changed her mind. She slept with me until I got married . She moved to Kaci's bed until we were all gone and then she finally started to sleep in her own bed. But it had to be in our bedroom. She was so fun to chase around the house. We used to make her dance on two legs. She hated it but it was so funny to watch her try to get us to let her go. She was the fastest dog I have ever seen. And could jump incredibly high. I have no idea how she never jumped the half fence. She was seriously always happy to see us. She was a comfort to my dad during some hard times in his life and she will be missed tremendously.

Bye Zoe!!! We will miss you!!!

Random Pictures of Sam

So I am posting some random pictures of Samuel eating because
#1 I don't know why but it is always funny to me when Sam makes a huge mess. I think it is funny all the way until I have to clean it up.
#2 He has taken to falling asleep mid-meal because he has had to miss his nap due to everyone else's schedules.
#3 I am probably doing a little bit of over kill because he is my last one to make a mess while he is eating and I will still think it is funny and cute. Eventually it will start to irritate me, especially if it turns into a food fight. I have seen a fair share of those when I was growing up and I am super thankful that my mom, and not me, cleaned it all up. I would like to keep it that way.
Stop it!!! How can you not think this is cute. There was one day that he fell asleep mid-chocolate pudding. I didn't think to take the picture until after I started the clean up.

This is after rice. Trying to get the rice out of his hair was a nightmare!!
This is after some birthday cake. You can't say he didn't enjoy that!

This is after a powdered sugar doughnut. I am pretty sure that I look like this after a powdered sugar doughnut.

He did this to his own hair I swear!!! Soooo funny!
